Peter Verhaeghe is a corporate finance lawyer and one of the long-standing figures behind the growth of Belgium’s biotech sector. He served on the Board of argenx from its early days in 2008 until 2026, including many years as Chair, accompanying the company as it grew from an emerging biotech into a global immunology company.
As Managing Partner of VVGB Advocaten-Avocats, he advises life sciences companies on corporate finance, transactions and long-term growth. He has also held board positions at companies and investment organisations including PMV, miDiagnostics and Bioqube Factory Fund.
At FTI Leuven, Verhaeghe joins Paul Stoffels for the discussion on Europe’s competitiveness in life sciences.
