Charlotte D'Hulst

Portfolio Director Life Sciences | imec // Former co-founder & CEO | Yesse Technologies
Charlotte D'Hulst

Charlotte D’Hulst is an entrepreneur and former co-founder and CEO of Yesse Technologies, a venture-backed biotech company that worked at the intersection of odoromics, nanotechnology and disease diagnostics. She now works at imec as Portfolio Director Life Sciences.

Yesse raised significant funding, built partnerships with organisations such as imec and The Michael J. Fox Foundation, and pursued an ambitious mission to digitise the sense of smell for health applications. The company was eventually wound down.

In this panel, Charlotte brings a rare and honest perspective: what it means to build something almost impossibly ambitious, attract belief and capital, carry the responsibility as a founder, and still have to acknowledge that strong technology, funding and partnerships are not always enough to reach the finish line.
