Emma Laporte
Postdoctoral Researcher and Lead Scientist | GynQura Therapeutics
Emma Laporte is postdoctoral researcher and lead scientist at GynQura Therapeutics, a joint initiative between KU Leuven and the BioInnovation Institute in Copenhagen.
Throughout her academic career at KU Leuven, she has specialized in stem cell biology, tissue regeneration, and advanced 3D organoid technologies.
During her doctoral research in the laboratory of Hugo Vankelecom, she investigated the role of pituitary stem cells during gland maturation and development. Using a pioneering organoid platform developed within the laboratory, she contributed to new insights into pituitary stem cell biology and tissue development.
Building on this expertise, her current research focuses on applying organoid technologies to women's health. At GynQura Therapeutics, she works on the development of innovative disease-modifying therapies for endometriosis, leveraging next-generation patient-derived organoid models to improve drug discovery and accelerate the translation of research into clinical impact.
