Elisabeth Heremans is a machine learning researcher and engineer specializing in artificial intelligence for physiological time-series. Her work focuses on developing robust machine learning methods for wearable sensing, sleep medicine, and digital health.
Her research at Stanford University has focused on AI methods for automated sleep analysis, biomarkers of neurological and psychiatric disorders, and wearable technologies for diagnosing sleep disorders in the home environment. She has also held research positions at Microsoft Research, the University of Cambridge, EPFL, and Johns Hopkins University.
